From January to September, China's steel output reached 110.385 million tons, marking a 5.4% year-on-year increase.
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China's crude steel output in September 2025 reached 73.49 million tons, marking a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%. The average daily crude steel output nationwide in September was 2.449 million tons, down 1.9% month-on-month. From January to September, China's crude steel output totaled 746.25 million tons, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 2.9%.
In September 2025, China's pig iron output reached 66.05 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.4%. The average daily pig iron output in September was 2.202 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 2.2%. From January to September, China's pig iron output totaled 645.86 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.1%.
In September 2025, China's steel product output reached 124.21 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%. The average daily steel production in September was 4.14 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 4.5%. From January to September, China's steel product output totaled 110.385 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%.
